The woods and forests

Located at the southern end of the Fontainebleau forest, the area is heavily wooded. The forests are ideal natural areas for hiking, horse riding, cycling, mountain biking and bouldering, which is very popular with climbers.

Commanderie forest

The Commanderie forest, in the south of the Fontainebleau forest, is known for its bouldering courses for all levels and hiking trails. The most famous boulders are the Dame Jouanne, the Justice and the Elephant.

Nemours municipal forest

Located behind the Museum of Prehistory and the hospital, walks are accessible from the many paths including the GR 13 and allow you to discover the different viewpoints, old sand quarries and rocks with unusual shapes.

Rochers Gréau Park

Owned by the town of Nemours, the park is located near the church and the town hall of Saint-Pierre. It is accessible for walking and allows you to discover viewpoints and rocks with unusual shapes, the most famous of which is the Turtle.
