Fromont

Built on a limestone hillock, the commune reaches a height of 145 metres, as confirmed by the geodesic point of Fromont: a brick obelisk used for topographic surveys of the staff maps at the end of the 19th century.


Numerous objects demonstrate the constant presence of man on the territory since prehistoric times: Neolithic flints, shards of pottery, Roman tiles. 


The church of Saint-Martin, built in the 12th century, contains a variety of artistic works: wall paintings from the end of the 15th century, a 17th century fresco, oil paintings on canvas and polychrome wooden statues of saints.
